This course has been developed for persons working in electrical related industries. i.e. Plumbers, Heating Engineers, Kitchen fitters, Mechanical Engineers and Appliance Installers. Its aim is to ensure learners are fully aware of and able to put in to practice the industry Safe Working Procedure for the Isolation of Electrical Supplies. The course is underpinned by the requirements laid down in the Electricity at Work Regulations and BS7671.
When working on any electrical installation whatever size it is imperative that operatives apply the correct isolation procedure every time to prevent injury to themselves and other users or engineers whilst work is taking place. Apply the industry standard procedure has been shown to prevent injury and reduce incidents of installations being made live whilst work is being carried out.
This course will deliver the knowledge and skills to ensure learners understand the requirements and can apply it on site.
For experienced or new candidates who possess a valid CCN1 +/ COCN1. Offers the opportunity to build and expand on existing practical skills and underpinning knowledge.
As the name suggests, it is a gas that is in a liquid state. It provides a great alternative fuel source for properties without a Natural Gas Supply. And recognisable to us because of the bottles that are used store it to stop evaporation. Most commonly used to supply heating and cooking appliances with in in mobile leisure and holiday park accommodation.
It is widely recognised for its efficiency and lower Carbon emissions.
CMA3 - The CMA3 core meter gas safety certificate is regarded as an equivalence to a Level 3 QCF/RQF qualification in the gas utilisation sector (which is also aligned to ACS) and satisfies the same gas safety criteria leading to a certificate of competence recognised by the Gas Safe Register.
It tests gas safety competence in core domestic gas metering work, in-conjunction with the installation of primary domestic gas meters of capacity < 6m3/h, connecting to an outlet supply < 35mm and with a volume < 0.035m3. This core is only suitable for MET1 with the option of REGT1.
