The Level 3 Award in Oxy Fuel Brazing within the RACHP Sector is designed for engineers working within the Refrigeration, Air Conditioning and Heat Pump (RACHP) industry. As part of our specialist F-Gas training courses, this practical qualification develops the knowledge and skills required to use oxy-fuel brazing equipment safely during the installation, replacement and decommissioning of RACHP equipment and components.
Delivered by Staffordshire Training Services, this qualification is awarded by LCL Awards, an accredited awarding organisation approved by DEFRA.
Course Overview
This Level 3 qualification has been developed for practising engineers who need to demonstrate competence in oxy-fuel brazing techniques used within refrigeration, air conditioning and heat pump systems. Brazing competence supports the practical pipework skills required across the RACHP sector, while engineers carrying out regulated activities involving fluorinated greenhouse gases will also require the appropriate F-Gas certification. Our Level 3 F Gas Training provides Category 1 and Category 2 routes for engineers developing the relevant refrigerant handling competencies.
The course combines classroom learning with practical workshop assessments, allowing learners to develop theoretical knowledge alongside practical brazing experience.
